March is....

 Almost over?

A lot happening in our neck of the woods.

A former coworker that I made quilts for her and her sister out of their dad's clothing, called and asked if I could make her granddaughter a quilt for graduation.  She is a softball player and her number is 9.  When she finally contacted me to make it in January and asked if I could get it completed by Senior Night.  One of the fabrics needed to be prepped for the teammates and coaches to autograph blocks and then the autographs needed to be gotten and returned.  I told her I didn't think I could.  I told her my grandson is playing baseball for a junior college and that was going to take up my weekends and with a full time job I only have the evenings.  And then DD and SIL were planning a trip and I would be spending a week with the grands commuting to and from work.  She still wanted me to make it.

Well, I made it!!! I completed it and Senior Night isn't until April 14th.

All washed and crinkled.  It finished at 72 x 72.

Basic meander with softball stitches and number 9 outlined.

I'm still working on the pajama quilt for my MILs caregiver/neighbor and the Easter Bunny door hangers.

No PHDs finished but making progress.

My friend an I joined the local quilt guild.  They meet during the day on Thursday but I've decided I have enough vacation days that I can use between now and January.

I also found a motorhome that we plan to investigate further.

Wishing you more stitchin time than I will have

February PHDs - Not

I didn't have any finishes in February but I made progress on several projects.

First, I'm making a softball quilt for a former coworker's granddaughter that will be graduating this year.  I'm actually meeting her for lunch tomorrow.  She had all of the teammates and coaches sign blocks and she will be bringing them to me.

The center of the quilt is just waiting for those blocks.

Then, I am making a memory quilt from my MIL's pajamas for her caregiver/neighbor.  I have been deconstructing and stabilizing.  Making progress.  6.5 inch squares will be alternated with a background fabric.

And, I would really like to have the Bunnies finished for Easter.  Probably not going to happen this year but making progress.  Making pinwheels, lots of them.  Remember there are two of these.

Non production note.  You know when your fingernails are too long when they hang over the edge of the ruler and get chopped off by the rotary cutter.

With plans to drive to Paducah, KY for quilt week and plans to purchase a motorhome, I was really glad to find this at one of my local quilt shops.

And I am sew looking forward to both.

Wishing you more stitchin time than I will have.
