In 2016 I had to give up my sewing room for family (I would do it again). I gave away 11 boxes of fabric and only kept what was intended for a project or was already a kit. For 2 years I only had access to Florence, my trusty treadle Singer.
I finally made arrangements to use another room in our house and created a "studio" of sorts and began rebuilding my stash. Brought out my trusty 40 year old Kenmore named Matilda and went to work again. Since then I have purchased a HandiQuilter Sweet Sixteen named Gretta, a 1950 Singer Featherweight that I named Gladys and in December 2021 I purchased a Grace Q'nique 19X Elite I named Leon. I love sewing and quilting on all of them.
I purchased a Gracie Queen Wooden frame and put the Sweet Sixteen on it. It's a great beginner long arm experience. I have to use the foot pedal but other than that it's a longarm.
UPDATE: In June 2020 my DS married and I acquired 5 more grands!!! He and Lump have moved to Kansas. I sure do miss them.
UPDATE: In December 2022 I retired, sold the Gracie Queen Wooden frame and put Gretta back in the table. I have purchased a Q'nique 19X Elite that I have named Leon and a Continuum II frame.
