2021 Sunday #8

I never know what kind of title to give a post.  Sometimes there is nothing of note to put at the top.  Not even any pictures this week.

In keeping with my 2021 Stitching Resolution I completed the Black & White Morewood Mystery flimsy on Thursday and basted it today.

Let's see how I did with my goals from last week.

Baste Eileen's quilt
Baste Susan's #3
Finish the Black and White Morewood Mystery flimsy
Make progress on the stash Morewood Mystery
Make progress on the MFCIM

Not as good as I hoped.  But I did get that one flimsy basted also so that's kinda like basting one of the others, isn't it?

I decided to meet a friend for drinks on Friday so my 15 minutes to stitch count is:

15 minutes per day this week = 6/7 days
15 minutes per day in February = 19/21 days
15 minutes per day in 2021 = 46/52 days

Percentage - 88%

I broke down today and bought 1.3 yards of fabric.  I saw what I call a face scarf which I want to try to make.  I found a tutorial here.  So I bought some navy and black fabric.

My stash report?

Better late than never.

I didn't post last week and the week before I said I was linking to Life in Pieces and Quilting is More Fun than Housework but I forgot to link.  So this week I'm just posting for my own accountability.

Goals the last week I posted:

Bind Janis' #2
Label Janis' quilts and deliver
Make progress on Morewood Mystery, new clue due this week
Cut - My Favorite Color is MODA

Janis was tickled to death about her quilts made from her late dad's clothes.  Here is #2.

I made progress on Morewood Mystery.  I'm making two of them and one is being assembled.  I had to do some frogging on it today (rip it, rip it).  The second one needs this month's assignment done.

I didn't make any progress on the MFCIM (My Favorite Color is Moda), but I will.

Then I found out that I will be visiting my sister in July so that means I have to finish her quilt.
It's #10 on my PHD UFO list.

My DH had back surgery this week but I still managed to stitch 7 out of 7 days so my count is:

15 minutes per day this week = 7/7 days
15 minutes per day in February = 13/14 days
15 minutes per day in 2021 = 40/45 days

Percentage - 89%

Don't know how I missed it.

I missed the PHD post.  I thought I was watching for it.

I completed 4 of my PHDs.  But, as I stated when I joined, most of them only needed to be basted and quilted.

Susan's #1,

 Susan's #2,

Janis' #1,

and Dashing Duos

Dashing Duos was not in the PHD list or in the plan but, one of my BFFs retired on Friday, January 29th.  On Sunday the 24th I decided she deserved a quilt so I set to work and got the Dashing Duos basted and quilted.  I finished it about 10:30 on Friday before our small get together on Friday afternoon.  Now she can curl up on the couch in the morning instead of having to go to work.

I would call that a good start to my PHD goal for the year.

Wishing you more sewing time than I will have.
