Back From Our Trip!

And wow what a month!!  NOTICE:  This post is photo heavy but not much sewing.

We had two nights in really nice campgrounds on the way there.  We arrived on the 7th of August.

My sister and her husband have a camp that is 30 minutes from their home.  We set up camp by their 5th wheel.

You can see my nephew's camper on the left and the neighbor's camper in between ours.  One weekend the neighbors had a gathering.  There were five 5th wheels and three tents besides their travel trailer.  Lots of fun.

On the first evening we were there my BIL fell through the chair.  My sister wanted to tip him over to get him out.

But wait, we need to take pictures first!!!  Needless to say, we through that chair away.

My brother and his wife stayed in a campground in town.  This is the view from their campsite.

We visited Northwoods Outlet in Pinconning, MI and had our picture made with Sasquatch.

My sister and I also visited a quilt shop (she's not a quilter) in Pinconning called Bittersweet Quilt Shop.  It is so cool!!!! It's in this old church.

We saw family,

old friends,

saw deer,

squirrels stealing the bird food,

pickle pickers,

Oreo cows,

went kayaking,

And did a little stitchin.  I had no desire to make a miniature quilt but purchased this precut in Paducah.  The package was the size of my cell phone so I knew it wouldn't take up much room in the motorhome.

We did have a flat tire on the way home but the guys at Greens Forks Alignment in Muncie, IN fixed it (they said it just leaked the air out) for nothing.

On a sad note, we took our dog with us because she's 15 years old and she had breast cancer.  We didn't want something to happen with us gone.  I will say that she had and AWESOME last month, but we had to put her down the Saturday before we came home.

Usually in a fenced yard, she roamed naked in the moonlight over 7 acres for a month.  She was in Heaven before she went to Heaven.  We will miss her so!!

We left there on the 6th of September and we had two nights in campgrounds on the way home.  One really nice and one not so nice.

Wishing you more stitchin time than I will have.

Rose

So sorry about your beloved dog but it sounds like you gave her a fantastic last month. Your trip looks like so much fun, loved the photos!
