Can you believe the year is half over!?!
And it's time to report in with the PHDs.
This quilt was pieced by my friend Amy TWO YEARS AGO!! I'm not sure what happened that it took so long to begin with but after it was quilted I found that there wasn't enough fabric for the binding and it took a while to find a fabric that she was satisfied with. This quilt measures 36x36.
Here she is when I finally remembered to give it to her.
Next, DD has been complaining that she hasn't gotten an adult quilt. The label reads "Not very adult-like unless you're baseballmomof3." This was my first pantograph. It wasn't a great pantograph to start my panto experience with because it has LOTS of points. Sports panto with basketballs, baseballs and footballs. Some of the balls aren't very round but it'll be okay. It measures 72x72.
My PHD spreadsheet isn't looking too shabby.
Number 7 on the UFO list is on the frame, 2/3 complete. I believe I will make the goal this year.
A sewing buddy and I helped another sewing buddy clean out her late husband's shop (he repaired antique sewing machines). She gave me this "Cadillac" in exchange for the work. She said it was one of her husband's favorites. We had it serviced and it has a beautiful stitch, straight and zigzag.
That's about it for me this month.
For those of you in the USA, enjoy your Independence Day holiday and be safe.
Wishing you more stitchin time than I will have.
Rose
