A friend recently moved into the home that she raised her children in. I was helping her move in which I mentioned briefly in a recent post.
To refresh, while I was helping her move, I realized that one of the kits I purchased while she and I were in Paducah last year would match her new rugs perfectly.
Last month while we were in Kansas staying with Lump, I took that kit with me along with my featherweight and put the top together. When we returned, I added the borders at the next Thursday sew day and then I began quilting it.
Several months ago one of our sew day ladies sewed through her finger. The needle broke off and she had to pull it out with hemostats. Then while I was on my way to Kansas she sliced a piece of another finger off with a rotary cutter.
While I was quilting the house-warming quilt for my friend, I had a slight accident. I had quilted 19 of the 20 blocks with a ruler and I let the needle skin my finger. It didn't pierce it, and it didn't really even bleed, but it took most of the layers of skin off. I had to send a picture to the accident prone one.
I'm real pleased with my PHD chart so far this year.
